FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information, contact: Cincinnati, OH (6/19/2009): CIMx, LLC announced today that they have been selected as a finalist for the Family Business of the Decade award given by the University of Cincinnati and the Goering Center for Family & Private Business, to be awarded on August 25, 2009. This award is given to honor the positive contributions made by family-owned companies, both large and small. Family businesses have a tremendous impact on our nation’s economic climate. They account for more than half of our country’s total employment, job creation, and Gross Domestic Product, yet they are rarely recognized for the crucial role they play in our economy and in our communities. Nominees are judged on the following criteria:
CIMx and the other finalists will be presented at a gala reception at Music Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 25, 2009, where twelve Family Business of the Decade winners will be announced. The overall winner will be announced after the keynote address by Michael Kelly. The Family Business of the Decade Awards Celebration is open to the public and tickets will be available for purchase at a later date. “It’s a privilege to be recognized when there are so many strong family businesses in Cincinnati and the city has given so much to us,” said Kristin McLane, President. “It is unique to have a father-daughter company serve some of our country’s largest manufacturers. We have had some exciting years and the future holds even greater promise.” The Goering Center will publish a special supplement in the Cincinnati Business Courier inside the August 28, 2009 edition, featuring CIMx, the other Family Business of the Decade finalists, and the ultimate winners. |
