A paperless solution for manufacturing consists of a multi-media work instruction environment that brings all information needed for production directly to the work station. The information consists of:
Data Collection:
The GoalEliminate the need to create, copy, distribute, and manage paper records and eliminate the errors associated with paper records. Eliminate the need for those on the shop floor to walk around to look for information required to do their job. The biggest benefit may be the elimination of errors due to work done out of sequence, work done to the wrong specification, work steps skipped, and other human errors.
