Detailed diagrams show team members exactly what to do
It is very easy to add images or short videos of how to do something into the Quantum Manufacturing Text or Attachments. Just save these files to your network and insert them into the appropriate plans or instructions in Quantum. You can record a person completing a task at a work center or on a machine using a smartphone, save the recording on the network as a file, and insert it into one or more build plans. Then a new team member can open that attachment to review and see how to do the task correctly with a self-paced training session.
In addition to adding training information, any detailed specification used in production can be added to Quantum as an attachment at the plan level and viewed as needed by any operator at any operation on that plan. If a specification is only useful at a particular work center or machine, it can be attached to the operation referencing that work center or machine.
Quantum's flexibility in adding video training or specification attachments is intended to make the work instructions as visual as possible to increase the speed and level of understanding. This is part of our operator-centric design to improve efficiency.
Photos, videos, and text enhancements increase the speed of learning
Other simple additions or font enhancements (accessible from the toolbar) can be made within the Text Instructions to increase understanding and eliminate errors.
- A data table can be added within the instructions,
- A highlighted text field can be added in bold text to avoid missing an item,
- Customer-specific information can be added within the text area or as attachments as needed.
