CUSTOMIZED DATA COLLECTION WITH SHEET TEMPLATES
Inside your Quantum tool you have the capability to customize what data is collected when in the order production process, it is located inside the Process Control tab and is called Sheets.
Data is essential. We would even say critical to the entire production and business process including ordered quantities, produced quantity, work time required, order pricing, and net profitability. Within many production processes, data is also collected to validate quality, verify specifications are met, and ensure the product will work as delivered. This data is collected at different times during the production cycle and recorded in the “as-built” record upon completion of an order. The knowledge gained from data collection is critical to understanding if a business is on track, what is working, what is not, and provides insight for improvement.
Quantum Sheets are the flexible templates you create inside the Process Control tab. Any number of Sheets can be created and attached to production plans to be filled in by a shop floor operator. Each Sheet has a label, revision letter and status (either under edit or approved). When formatting a Sheet, you will need:
- a description of the Sheet,
- a label for each column,
- and the type of data inside each column:
- Text,
- Tool,
- Pass/Fail,
- Shop Floor Input,
- or Serial Number.
Set up your Sheet template

As columns are added to the Sheet the type of data is required for each entry. In that way, a Sheet can have any size and any mix of data being collected. Once formatted, it must be approved and then it will be available in the list of Sheet Templates inside the Process Control tab.
Plan authors can choose any of the Sheet Templates for attachment to any operation of any production plan. Once inside a plan selected for order fulfillment, the shop floor operator can enter all data required for each part produced. The Sheet Template can be printed if needed and a completed Sheet on an order can also be printed individually or as part of the as-built order record.
Customize your Sheet(s) to your needs

Sheets are very useful to capture all data during creation of a first article new part, during routine orders from customers, and especially during orders for regulated products requiring auditable records.
Quantum Sheet Templates add the flexibility to define and capture any data you need at any level of the order production process.
