Why You Need Scheduling

Track Materials: No work can be done without the parts to make it.  Without a tool to track what you have, how much and where, you can't complete production. 

Calibrate Tools: Without knowing whether a tool is calibrated properly and when it will come due, you cannot ensure that the diameter of a hole or the angle of a stamped part are correct.  

Eliminate Downtime: If you don't know where something is, you can't move it to a work center that can handle the work.  When a machine is down and you don't have a Schedule, work backs up, Orders get delayed and parts and materials stack up everywhere.
